答案利率是利息与本金的比率，但这不能准确衡量在一定时期内投资人持有证券所能得到的收益状况。能准确衡量在一定时期内投资人持有证券所能得到的收益状况的指标是收益率，即向证券持有者支付的利息加上以购买价格百分比表示的价格变动率。持有债券从时间t到时间t+1的收益率公式为：RET=[*]。其中，P_t为t时该债券的价格；P_t+1为t+1时该证券的价格；C为息票利息。
