Generally speaking, one who is an expert in a specific profession may be an absolutely layman of another profession. For example, a mental physician may not have a clear notion of how a cardiac surgeon do a coronary bypass operation. Just as the saying goes, "insiders see tricks while outsiders see flicks". However, another Chinese saying goes like this; "every profession produces its own leading authority. " Therefore, people may wonder; Is there any possibility to transfer the knowledge and skill of one profession to another and cultivate an all-rounder for the society? From my point of view, the answer is a positive one. Some people may argue that it is not an easy task for outsiders to get an access to a whole new field. This is true, yet, it is also not a truth if one could keep the following suggestions in mind. First of all, always remember that knowledge is interlinked. While each profession has its own basic theories and regulations, all professions have a common ground, which is they all need to be dealt with meticulously. When transfering knowledge and skill of a particular kind of profession to another, one should firstly compare the two professions respectively and try to find out the similarities between the two. Then, one can start from these similarities to solve the problems waiting a-head. Grasp a typical example, and you will grasp the whole category. Secondly, draw support from advanced technologies to accomplish the final goal, that is, the transfer. Nowadays, with the increasing development of computer technology, people are much easily accessible to the previous difficult field of skills. There are also enormous resources on the Internet , which is freely sharable around the globe. If one could make a full use of these various kinds of resources, the transfer of knowledge and skill from one profession to another can be done in a slipshod way. As is known to all, technology is a revolution. All one has to do is to find an innovative way to apply these technologies into practical use. Third, where there’s a will, there’s a way. This has been a motto encouraging countless persons to overcome the difficulties they encountered on their way to success. It is still and will be a good way for millions of others in realizing their dreams. The transfer of knowledge of one profession to another is not an empty word. It needs perseverance and hard-working, which are lacking or still need strengthening on the majority field of modern society. To conclude, nothing is impossible under the guidance of the truths above. If only we are capable of applying what we have learnt into practical use, the transfer of knowledge and skill of one profession into another is most likely to occur in the near future.
