The protocol has shown the government’s determination to reduce carbon emission that has proven to be a major cause of global warming. As a developing country, China has to take the responsibility of ensuring economic development and reducing carbon emission at the same time Secondly, the central government has made carbon reduction and environmental protection targets for all local governments. All the local governments have to reach these targets. Last but not least, the government has been supporting scientific and technological advancement to fight against global warming.
