The one on the top is digging his way into a mine full of diamonds; the one at the bottom is actually giving up his endeavor, but just one step away from the treasure. The message im plied in this picture is about the secret to success, which is persistence. Had the miner at the bottom persisted in his efforts a little bit longer, he would have been able to claim the enormous wealth. In my opinion, perseverance is indeed a proven way to success. But it’s a pity that we always easily get frus trated or desperate halfway because of difficulties and setbacks along the way. And we often abandon our goals prematurely, without doing our best. If, however, we stick to our goals, success is actually not very far away. For example, J. K Rowling was impoverished when she was composing Harry Potter. She did not give up. Instead, she put all her energy into the only thing she loved—writing. Her persistence now rewards her with fame and wealth. From what has been discussed above, I think we must persist in our efforts if we want to be successful.
