I think the opinion does make sense. To live longer and happier, we should avoid overdrinking. And banning alcohol advertising helps much. In our life, it is not unusual to expose ourselves to alcohol advertising especially when we are watching TV. I am wondering the function of advertising. In my eyes, it should set a good example to people not giving illusive ideas. Alcohol which has such a long history, is bad for our health. Drinking alcohol is inevitable in business and classmate reunion which annoys me a lot. Excessive drinking may even lead to death. Car accidents often happen in China especially during holidays and festivals. What has caused them to develop this way? During holidays and festivals, many people are fond of meeting old friends and drinking alcohol. After that, many people still drive home, which makes it possible to have car accidents. So banning alcohol means a lot. If people can not get useful information about alcohol on the media, there is little chance for them to drink heavily. Advertising is a way of encouraging people to buy. If not encouraged to buy alcohol through the media, people can resist the temptation of drinking. This is how banning alcohol on the media works. Alcohol advertising should be partially responsible for the tragedy. So I give my vote to the idea that advertising of alcohol should be strictly prohibited on the media. Nothing in the world is more important than life. Without a healthy body, nothing makes sense anymore. To live a happier and healthier life, we should not drink heavily. In a word, banning alcohol advertising, living a happy life.
