答案 In this picture we can not see the usual forests with many big tall trees, instead we can only find a great number of stumps close at hand and only a very few small trees in distance. Ironically a man among the blackened stumps is growing flowers on one of them. This picture shows us a very serious phenomenon: more and more trees have been cut down at a surprising and alarming speed in many regions, whereas the cultivation of new trees is largely neglected. It is reported that in the last few years, most of the virgin forests on the earth have been badly destroyed, and even the remains may disappear in a few decades. In some sense, the loss of valuable forest is the threat to our environment, to the economic development, and to the species on the earth. Forests are very important for human life. Therefore we must take actions to prevent them from getting worse. We should control the number of trees to be cut down and replace them with new ones. If we exploit the forest resources in a rational way, we will certainly enjoy a bright future.
