Leaders from dozens of African and Asian countries at a summit in Indonesia have vowed to work together to give developing countries a bigger say in world affairs. The pledge came during a ceremony in Bandung to mark the 50th anniversary of the meeting that gave birth to the Non-aligned Movement. The movement is made up of more than 100 states, containing more than half the world’s population. The Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh (27)called for the reform of international institutions in order to allow poorer countries greater participation.
