Truly, good appearance may increase the self-confidence and bring about certain superiority. One with good appearance always makes a favorable impression on others, which imperceptibly shortens the distance between them. However, does good appearance really mean everything? The answer is a definite no. Natalie Portman could win an Oscar Award definitely not because of her beauty; Jack Ma, if success or failure is judged merely by taking a look at appearance, absolutely has no chance to found Alibaba Group. Apparently, it is ability that plays a decisive role in all walks of life. Beauty is time-limited while plain look is also not a weakness. What’s most important for us is to take an objective view to one’s appearance and focus more time and energy on improving our abilities.
