答案 On Confidence Nowadays, our society is filled with competition. Almost everyone has to compete with others in work and in life. Unfortunately, facing the competition, many people do not have enough confidence. Some lack confidence because they are not capable enough to cope with varieties of difficulties, such as work or study pressure, financial problems, and the uncertainty about their future; others lack confidence because they used to be dependent on the family. Once they leave their home, they are not confident enough. Confidence plays a very important role in the competition. With confidence, even a weak team can defeat a strong one; with confidence, an average man can accomplish something that is incredible; only with confidence can a man put his potential into full play. In contrast, without confidence, a candidate may lose an election; an athlete may lose a game; an applicant may lose the opportunity for an important position. Therefore, we should try our utmost to develop our confidence in the process of competition. As we know, once you are involved in a competition, you may suffer from failure. However, we can lose a game, but we must not lose our confidence. Lack of confidence invites failure.
