答案 The pie chart shows the time senior high school students spend online. It can be seen that a large amount of the time (as much as 61%) is spent on online games and chatting. 12% of the time is spent in searching or browsing through information and only 8% is for studying purpose. The remaining 19% is for other purposes which have not been explicated. The survey results tend to make readers worried. There is nothing wrong to use online resources to relax after a long day of study, however, a disproportionately huge amount of time is spent on online games and chatting, to the point that one might suspect of addiction. Many students now are deskbound and obsessed with the virtual world, oblivious to the equally amazing things and activities that are unfolded in reality. This is detrimental to the development of their personality and interpersonal skills. In my view, parents and teachers should step in, by setting a maximum amount of time for online games and chatting.
