问题 Examiner: Now, in this part of the test I’m going to give each of you a list of three different topics. I’d like you to select one of the topics and give a short presentation of about 2 minutes.
When (say the name of Candidate A)has finished talking , I’d like you (say the name of Candidate B) to ask him/her one or two questions. You may make notes while you are preparing and take notes while the other person is talking. All right? Here are your topics.
(Hand over the Topic Card A & B, and some blank paper and a pencil to each candidate.)

答案Examiner:All right. Now, let’s move to the third part. In this part of the test I’m going to give each of you a list of three different topics. I’d like you to select one of the topics and give a short presentation for about a minute. Firstly, cars, buses and underground trains can take you wherever you want to go. Secondly, a great number of restaurants provide you with delicious and timesaving food. Thirdly, for leisure time entertainment, people in cities have a great choice of going to the cinema or theatre, watching sports games or visiting museums. Shopping is always a pleasure, too. Finally, the fact that famous universities and modern factories are concentrated in big cities means that there are more education and employment there. The countryside is attractive with its rural scenes. There will find little pollution or noise and no crowded streets. Nothing compares to the pleasant songs of birds, the fragrance of flowers and the beautiful sight of the rising sun. Working in the fields, eating fresh vege-tables and fruits and being close to nature will keep you healthy and energetic. However both the city and the country have their own disadvantages. In big cities fumes from cars and industrial wastes pollute the atmosphere. Moreover, overhousing is very high. Similarly, the country has its own problems. The lack of modern housing facilities or an efficient transport system creates may difficulties. To sum up, both the city and the country have virtues and their shortcomings. Everyone must judge for themselves and make their choice accordingly.
