答案If you choose topic A: what is important when preparing for a job interview? Before going for an interview, we must make preparations so as to face the interviewer with more confidence. These include preparing CV and suitable clothes, studying the job advertisement carefully and looking for the information about the company. Firstly, a detailed CV is a good self-introduction, through which the interviewer knows the applicant’s personal information such as education background, working experience and abilities. CV must be tidy and sincere, so it may leave a favourable first impression on the interviewer. Secondly, we should prepare formal clothes to fit the occasion. There’s no need to spend a lot of money on it, especially for young college graduates. Black or dark blue suit or dress is suitable. Thirdly, we should study the job advertisement carefully so as to match our knowledge, skills and abilities with the specifications required for the post. We need think about some questions that may be asked by the interviewer according to the job description in the advertisement and then prepare some answers. Finally, we should look for the information about the company, such as its profile, structure, culture, products and future plans. As a Chinese saying goes:" If you know both yourself and your enemy, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss." If you choose topic B: what is important when improving working conditions? As is well-known, better working conditions are favourable to employees. Managers of the company should take the improvement of working conditions as one of the priorities. In my point of view, there are several factors to be considered. First of all, working equipments should be updated in time to ensure efficiency. For example, computers, printers and photocopiers are common office equipments which are easily broken or out of date. If they cannot be replaced by new ones, working efficiency will be affected. Secondly, plants bring vitality to working places. Plants can absorb harmful carbon dioxide and radiation in the office and give off fresh smell. Employees who sit at the desks all day long may rest their eyes by seeing green plants. Thirdly, some other appliances such as air conditioner, humidifier, refrigerator, microwave oven and coffee machine will help to make staff work comfortably. These appliances don’t cost much; however, they make employees feel at home. Finally, light music is relaxing. It’s reported that employees have less pressure and work better with light and soft music around ears. So it’s advisable to take this measure to improve working conditions. If you choose topic C: what is important when aiming to improve customer service? From my point of view, when aiming to improve customer service, four factors should be taken into consideration. Making customer satisfaction surveys is the most direct way to know customers’ attitude to our service. The surveys can include questionnaires in paper or online, and telephone follow-ups. Through feedbacks from customers, the company will know how the business has met customers’ expectations. Next, we should have regular staff training to let them realise recent problems and remind them of their duty from time to time. The training should be given at least once a month, if possible, once a week. Inviting some experts to train the staff will improve the staff’s friendliness and their speed of service. Furthermore, it is necessary to set up the customer service department to make a database of customers’ information, deal with complaints, carry out surveys and offer help to customers. With a group of specialised people working on customer service, the effects will be desirable. Finally, the company should have a system of rewards and penalties to encourage the staff to provide better service and warn those who are not responsible for serving customers.
