Many people think surfing is no more than a mindless waste of time for young people. It takes too much of their time and hinders them from communicating with the real world. Besides, so much ill-natured information online may poison their young minds. However, according to some researches, young online users are developing skills, knowledge and self-confidence they need to fully participate in the world around them. Digital things, including instant messaging, Myspace. com and similar social networks, give them social connectivity, creativity and learning. In my opinion, digital culture might not just be harmful to the youth. Properly employed, it could be a crucial part of their 21st-century education.
