答案 The chart displays the projected trend of the aging population in China, As it shows, between the years 2010 and 2050, people above the age of 60 may experience the sharpest increase (19%), followed by the age groups above 65 and 80 years old (15% and 5% respectively). In the year of 2050, about 33% of the Chinese population would be 60 years old or above, while 24% and 7% of them would be 65 and 80 years old or above. The magnitude of the aging population in China is explicitly presented in the chart, which may bring lots of trouble to our society. The fact that aged people are dependants of their children means many couples have to provide for 4 seniors, adding to their already mounting pressure of life. The shortage of workforce in China will be another problem. To ease the burden brought by the aging population, the family planning policy needs reforming. Fortunately, our government has begun to do so already.
