答案 Will Phones Kill Letter Writing? Telecommunication is an essential service in the modern society and has become even more critical with the introduction of mobile phone. Modern phones offer all sorts of additional features beyond the primary purpose of talking to people. They now include different forms for sending messages, from text messaging to E-mail via an internet link. Their convenience and versatility has made them indispensable for many people. Letter writing is being replaced by E-mails, especially with the younger generation. They take no interest in sending traditional letters. Once a computer is connected to the Internet, sending written communication is both instantaneous and free. The electronic forms of letters can be easily enhanced with photos,attractive font styles and a wide variety of colour schemes. The E-mail system also includes spelling and grammar checking that makes it very easy to correct any mistakes. Letter writting will survive, particularly with older generation but it is problematic as far as the younger generation is concerned. The beauty of receiving a handwritten letter is in the personal touch that comes with it. Older generation is familiar to this way of communication. The writing of business letters will survive well into the future but,even those,are likely to be replaced by some other form of provable communication.
