My main concern is the "white pollution" caused by grocery bags, as plastic is non-degradable. Every day, countless bags have been distributed to shoppers for free, which amounts to considerable annual consumption. Though it is hard to say goodbye to plastic bags once and for all. as there is hardly cheap recyclable material to substitute them, we can at least decrease the quantity and frequency of their use. I think it may help if people are asked to pay for the disposable bags in supermarkets, and they will possibly bring their own shopping bags. Besides, I think the supermarket can encourage consumers to use grocery bags made of cloth, which are also convenient but more environmental-friendly.
