答案 On a naked tree there are two apples, representing different ambitions: one too high to reach, the other within easy reach. The man on the left, jumping up and extending his right hand to pick the apple high above his head, fails while the man on the right has plucked low-hanging fruit and left proudly. The caption below summarizes: the best ambition is not the great one but the one most likely to achieve. The picture vividly indicates what life ambition should be built. It’s accepted that a person without ambition is like a car without a steering wheel, but setting what kind of goal is really a problem. We were always cultivated and inspired to establish highest aspirations, which in fact most of us can’t fulfill throughout our lives. It’s not only because of unreality of those targets themselves but ignorance of limited energy of individuals. Therefore, lofty aims must be set up smartly and practically: most possibly realized one is better than others. The following factors should also be taken into account when one attempts to establish a proper ambition. It should be a definite, specific and measurable ideal. What’s more, it’s necessary to consider non-human factors available to achieve our ends, such as materials, capitals and methods, besides human input.
