A traffic conductor is standing right in the middle of the intersection, raising his arms in surrender. This picture intends to tell us the importance of abiding by traffic rules, the violation of which would lead to a waste of time or even traffic accidents. In my opinion, the government should take two mea sures to raise people’s awareness of following traffic rules. First, some propaganda campaigns should be launched to warn people of the serious consequences of disregarding traffic rules. We will waste our time or even risk our lives when we take the rules lightly. The scene in this picture is a case in point. Second, the government must enact legislation to punish those who commit traffic violation. For instance, jaywalkers could be asked to serve as traffic conductors. Other more serious offenders should be subject to financial penalties or serving jail time. To sum up, life is only once. We have to cherish our lives and should not risk them by not obeying traffic rules.
