    According to Dr. Cole, after speaking kindly of others, positive emotions increased【B12】______three percent, negative emotions were【B13】______six percent, and self-esteem rose five percent. These are not【B14】______numbers, as Cole is the first to admit. But it’s【B15】______one of the few times researchers have【B16】______anything beneficial to the silly art of gossip.

" It could be that people who gossip a lot think they have social support, but they don’t actually," Cole said, noting that previous research shows people【B20】______to dislike and mistrust gossips.
