YES
One downside of perilous sports activities is that they may become the roots of injuries and agony. There may be serious injuries, which sometimes disable players and ruin their whole life.
Another adverse aspect is that some extreme sports are merely an excuse for violence. To illustrate, boxing involves excessive violence and bloody scenes that may impose adverse impact on adolescent TV viewers.
Human beings have taken positive steps to change and improve human civilization. If we banned dangerous and violent sports, we would be moving one step further to improve mankind.
NO
The extreme sports can be seen as a sort of effective way to help players relieve their pressure and relax their mood, because the busy modern life often deprives one’s right of seeking relaxation. Imaginably, one’s working and learning efficiency could be greatly enhanced after doing his favorite sports.
Not only can the extreme sports provide relaxation, but also they can foster one’s skills, build one’s tenacity and forge one’s ability to tolerate frustration. Some extreme sports require high techniques or much perseverance.
The extreme sports could be developed into attractive tourism items, which could generate immense economic value.

Should Dangerous Sports Be Banned? Nowadays, people do not have to live with dangers on a daily basis, but many people still choose to involve themselves in dangerous sports for excitement and entertainment. And yet, those who are concerned about the possible consequences of the risky activities, such as violence, injury and even death, call for the government to prohibit dangerous sports. From my perspective, I oppose the banning on these sports. One reason is that the forbiddance of dangerous sports cannot effectively protect people from physical harm. As a matter of fact, all sports can be dangerous in varying degrees. For instance, there might be ankle sprain in doing yoga or a heart attack in playing golf. Therefore, what endangers people is not what kind of sports they are engaged in, but how they do it. Another reason is that it’s the citizens’ freedom to choose the sports activities they like. The government can offer guidance and supervision to ensure the safety of people instead of deciding which sport is suitable for them to take part in. In conclusion, whether a sport is worthy of involvement depends on its effect on our physical and mental health rather than the degree of risk. People can choose whatever sports they favor, regardless of their risks.
