答案 The bar chart illustrates the changes in the proportions of families without private cars and those equipped with one car and at least two cars from 1988 to 2018. Overall, in the first decade, the largest proportion of families (50％) had no car but in the last ten years owing one car became the prime choice, with 40％ families possessing one car. What might be the reasons behind this phenomenon? The first reason to explain this change is the development of the economy. With the prosperous economy developing, more families are able to afford this once luxurious vehicle. Another factor that cannot be neglected is that the government has invested more into the infrastructure construction. As a result, more and more highways have been built and it is convenient for the families to go travelling by car. So what will be the possible tendency of the phenomenon reflected in the chart? From my perspective, the percentage of families with one car, two cars or even more cars will keep increasing in the following decades for the convenience and enjoyment the cars have brought to the people.
