答案 In the middle of the cartoon, a building has occupied much space. On the top of it, a big word "gambling" can be seen easily. A man with money in hand is eager to enter the building hoping to regain his losses, while his wife is trying to stop him going there. The picture has shown that in the process of going for wealth, some people are eager for quick success and instant benefit. And they think gambling can make their dreams come true. So today one of our social problems is a staggering number of people are addicted to various forms of gambling. What is wrong is not people’s longing for wealth but the way they are pursuing it. Wealth may tempt weak-willed persons to be addicted to harmful habits such as gambling, and result in their own ruin. Some statistics show gambling may destroy marriages, undermine the work ethic, increase crime, motivates suicide, destroy the financial security of families, and be related to any number of other social issues. Thus we can see that if we don’t take a proper altitude to wealth, we as well as our society will get hurt. In my opinion, everybody should try to acquire wealth by means of honest labor. Their efforts contribute not only to the welfare of the society but to the accumulation of their own wealth. Only in this way can people turn their dreams into reality and enjoy long-lasting happiness.
