What helped Betty most in learning Spanish?

Betty can speak Spanish and French. And what helped her most in learning those languages was.. well, she studies both languages in high school, and she’ s still studying Spanish here at the university. Traveling bas probably been not help to her. She’ s lucky in that she’ s lived in Europe. Besides, after studying a language, practice is very useful. When living in a country where the language is spoken, it’ s ideal. But, you know, sometimes, it’ s difficult to make friends in a new place, even when the people arc very friendly. This is particularly important especially if you don’ t speak the language too well. Betty !tad some problems when she first moved to Europe. Whether or not you arc living in a country where the language is spoken, you should go to movies, and whenever you can, you watch TV or listen to the radio in the language you arc trying to learn. In addition, reading is another good way to learn. Books are good, but newspaper and magazine arc even better. But, do remember that it is not possible to take advantage of practice opportunities without some knowledge of the language first. So, it might be a good idea to study grammar, vocabulary first.
