Hello Genevieve,
I received a call this morning from Damien Sullivan’s secretary, Kristy Cook. She said that Mr. Sullivan will be arriving later than expected from a business conference in Kentucky at around 10 o’clock on June 3. That will leave him with just enough time to get here before his scheduled speech at the graduation ceremony. She apologized for the inconvenience, but I told her we could make changes to the program prior to his speech so he can take time to prepare before he goes onstage. We also decided to include an activity right before the introduction of the guest speaker. I have already e-mailed her a copy of the program schedule, and she said she would forward it to Mr. Sullivan right away.
As with previous commencement exercises, you will be assigned to accompany our guest of honor. Make sure to be at the campus an hour before the program starts. Once Mr. Sullivan arrives, take him to the conference room in the faculty office, so he can rest a bit or prepare before his speech. I’ll let you know when he can come onstage, since I’ll be in charge of introducing him.
