答案 Dear Jack, How are you? I received your letter two days ago. I really appreciate your concern. I’d like to let you know about the situation of my hometown. We had a horrible storm last week. Because of the heavy rain, the crops were destroyed, many roads and railways were blocked and the electricity was cut off. However, our government acted promptly. Thousands of technical workers, medical professionals and policemen were sent here to help us. They cleaned the roads and repaired the houses and the damaged power facilities. Besides, people from all over the country donated money, food and clothes to us. We were supplied with all kinds of necessities from the government. Though we suffered from financial losses, we felt lucky and thankful that we got so much care and support from the society.
