This great possession of material wealth that the rich men own is believed to be a sign of success by some people. However, others do not think that success can only be measured by material wealth. As far as I am concerned, a person s success is not equal to his material wealth. We can see many successful businessmen who are quite wealthy in our daily life, but there are also many other successful people who are not rich. Many scientists who devote all their life to homeland are not wealthy, but we are proud of their achievements. In our heart, they are successful. Bus conductress Li Suli is a typical example. She has been honored as a national model worker because she is always eager to help the ordinary people, providing them best service. It is rather evident that she could never compare with those wealthy people in material wealth as a bus conductress. It is not good for our spiritual side of life if we measure success by wealth alone. So one’ s goal in life shouldn’ t only earn money, in reverse, one should serve others or make worthwhile achievements to the society. Taking into account all these factors, I may draw the conclusion that making money doesn’ t mean to be the only way to success. Only when one works hard and makes contributions to our society , he would be regarded as a successful man.
