On the one hand, some people hold that tradition is the essence of our long and deep history, and thus it should be followed. On the other hand, we should keep our own traditional characteristics as a culture, so that we can find our own position in a world of cultural diversities. However, others hold that it is worthwhile to abandon tradition for modernization. For one reason, they take history as a linear course moving forward, and outdated notions must be timely got rid of.
