YES
People need to slow down the pace of life and show their care for their beloved. With the fast pace of life, young people have become busier and have less time to stay at home to accompany their parents.
In modern life, people’s living standard has been greatly improved, but the fast pace of life does bring physical and mental harm, so people should slow down the pace of life to keep healthy.
Jobs become demanding and require workers’ full commitment, resulting in their depression and pressure. People should change their lifestyle and slow down the pace of life to enjoy all the things that life gives them.
NO
The fast rhythm of life requires people to enhance efficiency when working and then allows them to enjoy longer leisure time.
The acceleration of the pace of life also implies the expansion of people’s social circle. In the past, social relationships were limited by physical factors such as geographical distance and low mobility, but nowadays, one can travel farther and get acquainted with more people with technological advances.
The fast pace of life increases efficiency and further improves overall productivity.

答案
Should We Slow Down the Pace of Life? As the society is developing at a fast pace, people are under great pressure and suffer from physical affliction in their busy life. As a consequence, many citizens stand up against the hectic pace of life and appeal to people to live in a relaxed manner, which is good for people’s physical and mental health. However, those against slowing down the pace of life believe that the fast rhythm of life can improve working efficiency, prolong leisure time and expand social circle. Personally speaking, I hold the view that people can make decisions by themselves according to their own conditions since either of these two lifestyles has both merits and demerits. For one thing, for those who are trying hard to climb the top of the social ladder, they need to keep improving their competitiveness and every minute is too valuable for them to be wasted. For another, the dream-job seekers who are burnt-out on the frenetic pace of life may want to retreat to a quieter and slower corner of the world. Then they can have time to enjoy nature, food, and communication with people around them. As a conclusion, choose your lifestyle wisely and you can certainly find happiness in your choice.
