答案
Should the Government Establish Free Libraries in Each Town? It was reported that the illiteracy rate in China was 4.08%, which means that about 5.3 million Chinese people are still unable to read or write a single word. Against this dire backdrop, I think that the government should establish free libraries in each town. First of all, a near-by library could save the time and energy, which are otherwise needed for a far-away library. If a community library is within short distance, we do not have to worry about the hours wasted or the energy consumed in traveling to the downtown. We could simply walk up to the community library and browse the newly arrivals at ease. Secondly, free libraries are helpful to those who are not accessible to the Internet. For those needy people who are too poor to use the Internet at home to obtain information, free libraries can benefit them a lot. They can go to these libraries to search for the information they need, without worrying about how much they’ll have to pay for getting the information. In conclusion, free libraries in each town are a helpful tool to spread knowledge and increase local people’s interest for reading.
