In my opinion, competition is of great importance and one will definitely benefit from it. Among countless factors which influence my propensity, there is a most conspicuous one; survival of the strongest principle. In light of Darwin’s evolutionism, no matter in animal kingdom or human society, only the strongest and fittest one can survive. Stress from society and family impels children to be involved in the cruel competition. For example, since finding a good job has become more difficult than before, a job applicant must weigh up the competition from others, and show his merits to interviewers. Thus, what kind of job you will get depends on whether you can compete with rivals or not. The further reason why I advocate competition is that children often make great progress in competition. As we all know, no one can win everything. Students will know how to face success and failure after participating in competitive activities. The competition experience, no matter they won or lost, will benefit them eventually. All in all, it is reasonable to believe that competition is the strong power for the development of future society and is the basic ability of young people. Therefore, it will play an important role in education.
