答案 The Increasing Use of Private Cars in China As it is clearly described in the above two pictures, compared with two decades ago, nowadays, more people have their own cars. The number of private cars in China has increased dramatically during the past twenty years, especially in some big cities and urban areas, such as Beijing and Shanghai, which now has become a prominent feature of the modern society. What leads to this dramatic boom in private cars? From my point of view, there are mainly two reasons. Firstly, nowadays, with the rapid growth of population, the public transportation becomes too crowed, and often blocked on the way in rush hours, which wastes people’s precious time. Since we all share the same opinion that "time is money", to find a convenient way to solve this problem seems urgent. So the owning of private cars quickly gains people’s favor, especially for some wealthy class, such as managers, bosses and directors of some privately owned enterprises. Secondly, due to the improvement of people’s living standards, most people prefer traveling around in holidays to just staying at home. So go on a trip in one’s own car becomes the favorable choice, because the weather can no longer bother you. With a car, you can go wherever you want to go, without worrying about checking a bus or train schedule or looking for a hotel when the night is falling, and this definitely makes the traveling more entertaining and easy. Besides, the booming of our country’s auto industry and the policy of encouraging consumption also stimulates people to purchase cars. In a word, with the development of our country, more and more people will have the opportunity to have their own ears, which will makes their life more convenient and enjoyable.
