As for my view, the former proposition is more reasonable than the latter. First of all, the courage to accept criticism keeps one powerful inside. It is normal for people to be subject to criticism. Confusing criticism with defeat, one is doomed to feel frustrated and will easily fail in many situations. Actually, it isn’t criticism that makes you fail. Instead, your own fear and refusal to admit mistakes make everything worse. Criticism and adversity make a man wise and heart strong. Factors such as self-confidence and ambition, combined with determination and willpower, contribute to eventual success. If you try to learn something from others’ criticism and then to analyze the problem, your strong heart will be built, which helps you to form a positive attitude and provides you with great courage to face a series of challenges later. Further, I hold the view that whatever is worth doing is worth doing well, and recognizing the problem is the first step in solving it.
