How many times has the National Hockey League allowed its players to take part in the Winter Olympics?

National Hockey League players will again be completing for their countries when the man’s hockey competition hits the ice on February 16th. They became eligible for the Winter Games in 1992, once the NHL has allowed its athletes to go to the Olympic Games only three previous times, in 1998, 2002 and 2006.

Last month, the Democratically-controlled House of Representatives passed a second stimulus bill aimed at jump-starting U. S. employment. The Senate is expected to consider the measure in coming weeks. Top economic voices in the Obama administration applaud the initiative, but add that, ultimately, America’s private sector must lead the way in job creation and economic expansion.
