答案 In the first picture, the smartly-dressed student arrogantly declares that his father has given him 100 Yuan as pocket money. Obviously, he is deliberately showing off to the shabbily-dressed student. In contrast, in the second picture, the poor student proudly announces that he will give his full-mark (100 marks) paper to his father as a gift, striking the rich student dumb. It is not rare to find such wealth-flaunters as the rich student in the above picture, for our material life standards are rapidly rising. People of this kind crazily share their expensive life habits on the Internet, posting the photos of their luxurious clothes, bags, cars and houses or telling stories of their extravagant parties and vacations. However, it is equally not rare to find another kind of people, just like the achievement-flaunter portrayed in the picture above. People of this kind enjoy sharing their improvements in their career and daily life. Using the contrast between the two group representatives, the painter tries to tell us that a person’s value is measured by his achievements and contributions rather than his material wealth. Bill Gates is respectable not simply because he is extremely rich, but because he founded Microsoft and helped bring the world into Internet age. I share the same idea with the painter. Instead of being crazy about material wealth, people, especially the young, should focus their attention on their personal improvement and make great efforts to contribute more to the society.
