答案 The cartoon reveals an important lesson of philosophy of life. A man is following the footsteps of others. The caption beside the cartoon says that with all his efforts, the goal he finally reaches would not be that of his own, rather the one of others. What a shame! No example can support this theory better than the following example of Mr Li, one of my neighbors. Mr Li used to collect old newspapers and, like others, he sold them to a paper factory for recycling. Once he found that some people were interested in finding out what happened at home and abroad on the day when they were born. So he took advantage of their interest and began to sell, at a much high price, the old newspaper of their birthdays. Soon he made a big profit. He is now running a store dealing in old newspapers. It is easy to folluw others, but this will not lead to progress. We should, therefore, follow our own roadmap in life. There is the happiness which comes from creative efforts, whether in painting a picture, writing an epic, singing a song, composing a symphony, devising new invention or creating a vast industry. Of course, following our own roadmap means accepting challenges, but I believe we can rid ourselves of all self-imposed limitations.
