This practice has aroused great controversy among the public. I believe that such censorship is necessary and inevitable in many ways. First of all, by controlling the online content, the government can protect users from the attacks of various criminals. As we all know, online crimes have been on the rise ever since the Internet was born. For example, information about fake products can be frequently found online, and users can be cheated into buying these goods. On the other hand, children can benefit greatly from the censorship. It is a well known fact that some online contents are unhealthy, even violent. Kids are often the victims of these contents. To conclude, governments are justified in taking strict control of the Internet. Therefore, we should give our full support to those active measures. We believe that only through strong measures can the government make the use of internet safe and secure for all the users.
