Learning the basics such as science, arts and history helps one know the world, whereas learning to develop correct moral and ethical concepts teaches one to be an integrated human being. Take Yao Jiaxin as an example, as a 21-year-old college student in Xi’an Conservatory of Music; he had learned enough basic knowledge and skills related to his major, but his behavior demonstrated his foolishness and ignorance, which seems mismatched with him as a college student. Obviously, it can be seen that "helpfulness", "respect" or "compassion" were never taught and learned in his 20 years of education, which reflects a weakness in modern education—informative but morally deficient.
