答案 The Weight of Money It is an ironical cartoon that shows the power of money. As we can see from the cartoon, a school boy, who apparently fails in the entrance examination, is being sent into a key middle school on the seesaw, with the help of a large bundle of money. What does the cartoonist mean by drawing such a picture? Judging from the Chinese title "The Weight of Money", we know that the artist tries to criticize a kind of malpractice in the society: corruption in school education. By means of paying high tuition, some parents are able to send their unqualified children to middle schools of high quality. This phenomenon is not unusual in our country, especially in the areas where competition for higher education has become fierce. As we know today, a typical Chinese family has only one child, so the parents would try their best to have the child receive best education, from kindergarten, primary school, to middle school, so that he/she can go to famous colleges and universities. In my opinion, money is something, but not everything-what is important for the young generation is to acquire enough knowledge and ability to live independently. In this sense, the power of knowledge is much stronger than that of money.
