答案 As is truly depicted in the picture, around a table sit four people, who have eaten up their dishes happily. A servant is cleaning the dishes with a big smile on her face. More notably, on each plate is written a big Chinese character which reads "Clean Your Plate Campaign". The clean plate campaign initiated by the central government has been warmly responded and enthusiastically implemented, which embodies a rational regression in extravagance and waste. However, what’s more important is the sustainability of the campaign rather than a short period of enthusiasm. Hence, it is necessary to take appropriate measures to carry forward it. For one thing, the public media are supposed to step up efforts by publicizing the virtue of thrift, thus to cultivate the awareness of people, especially the young, that being diligent and thrifty has always been a traditional virtue of Chinese culture. For another, it is imperative that corresponding laws and regulations be carried out to severely punish those who waste food wantonly. Fortunately, some restaurants have launched out half-portioned and smaller dishes to cater to the practicing of thrifty. To sum up, we still have a long way to go in waste curbing, but I’m deeply convinced that extravagance and waste could be held up through our continuous efforts.
