France ranked sixth on the World Bank GDP rankings in 2016.

World Bank released countries’ 2017 worldwide gross domestic product rankings in early July. On this year’s list, India replaced France as the world’s sixth-largest economy, with a GDP amounting to $2.60 trillion, while France’s figure was $2.58 trillion in 2017.

The World Health Organization reports that 93％ of children, including 630 million under 5, live in areas where pollutants breach WHO-recommended safety levels, and even in wealthier countries, 52％ of under-fives are routinely breathing harmful air.
