答案
Is the Slender Figure the Only Standard of Beauty? Have you ever heard the popular saying "If you are overweight, you are done"? It reflects a number of people’s concepts about what beauty is. In their mind, slender figures are the only standard of beauty. Three reasons would contribute to this way of thinking. To begin with, influenced by pop stars who like showing off their slender figures in various mass media, some people consider them to be their idols and daily role models, and try every means to be as thin as them. Moreover, the negative effect of being fat has been exaggerated, which leads to a fallacy that a fat person will be definitely subjected to ill health or sickness. Last but not least, there seem to be more fashionable and fancy clothes available for slender figures. Fewer fashion designers are known to design clothing and accessories specifically for plump figures. As far as I am concerned, the standards of beauty need to be diversified. While stressing slender figures, we should not neglect health, truth and good virtues. It makes sense to attach importance to inner beauty, which is more important than outer beauty.
