John Ciardi got his master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1939 and has published more than 40 poems.

John Ciardi was born in 1916 in Boston, Massachusetts, the child of Italian immigrants. He attended Bates College and Tufts College and received his master’s degree from the University of Michigan in 1939. He is the author of more than forty volumes of poetry.

The 350,000-square meter, granite-floored and glass-walled terminal can accommodate 25 million passengers a year and the airport, which has two runways, can handle 1.2 million tons of air freight, the world’s third-highest cargo capacity.
