答案Promise A saying goes that: Promise is debt. That is, once one makes a promise to others, he or she has the obligation to live up to his or her words. Nowadays, individuals as well as groups are likely to make sincere promises to people—governments promise that housing price will stop soaring; businessmen promise that their products are of superior quality, etC. We treat all these promises seriously but gradually lose faith on them, realizing that it is kind of stupid to think too much of these easy-made promises. I cannot help but regarding this change as a sorrowful thing. Why? We Chinese people have been attaching significant importance on promises and holding the opinion that keeping promises is a fundamental personality of being human being. Now comes another question: How can we practice our promises? First, do not make promises easily. Whenever you are to make a promise, think before you leap. Second, try your best to fulfill your promise. When we are trapped by unexpected things and can not live up to our promises, we’d better make a sincere apology to other people. To sum up, promise is a touchstone testing our characters. Once a promise is made, we are obliged to live up to it. Anyway, promise is debt.
