Has Technology Made Our Lives Easier? The wide application of technology products in our daily life has triggered a great discussion about the impact of technology on our lives. A few people think that the development of these technologies has little impact on our lives, so it is dispensable. While most people agree that the development of it has greatly facilitated our lives. In my opinion, over the past 30 years, the development of science and technology, such as the various communication software, the digitalization of information and virtual payment make our lives easier and more convenient. Firstly, technology has made communication easier. Gone are the days when people use written letters with long delivery times to communicate. Today, technology has made it possible to communicate with others online at real time with just a finger’s touch on mobile phone. And the most important documents can be digitally sent across the world within seconds. Technology is the force behind this kind of convenience. Secondly, with the application of technology, more and more information can be gotten online, which brings much convenience to people. For example, when a person wants to travel, he can more easily arrange his plan. Living in the digital era, just by a computer or smart phone, he can find the information about the hottest tourist destinations and quickly buy a ticket to go there. And that’s not all. While travelling, he can check up the possible routes to his destination at all times with a smart phone in order to have a time-saving and nice trip. Thirdly, technology has changed the way people pay their bills. Cashless payment has become a reality. This means that you don’t need to carry cash in your wallet. With the platforms like Alipay and WeChat Pay, as long as your bank card is connected with your accounts of these platforms, you can make the necessary transactions. In addition, more intelligent payment methods, for example, face-scan payment, have also been developed. There are a kind of device that scans the users’ faces and recognizes them, and then the payment is made immediately. With the emerging of facial-recognition payment, you don’t even need your phone, just your face. Such technology was incredible before. All in all, in China, technology gains rapid development, and it is a solid fact that technology has a deep influence on nearly every aspect of people’s life and brings convenience to them.
