The natural resources percapita is rather limited. China’s percapita arable land, for instance, accounts for only one-third of the average level worldwide. Moreover, our country’s natural resources are net structurally balanced. In terms of mineral resources, what we have is only a vast reserve of coal. And the situation is further complicated by the increasing amount of individual consumption. To ensure a sustainable development, it’s time that we took measures to cope with the relationship between human demands and natural resources. And also we should educate all the people to practice economy when using water, fuels and other resources. And above all, the government should take actions to monitor the exploitation of resources.
