答案 There is no denying that the chart records the changes of the number of people surfing the Internet and that of people watching television in a certain city from 2005 to 2015. Especially, the volume of netizens surfing the Internet has experienced a much more dramatic change, jumping from 10 thousand to 103 thousand in the ten years. For my part, two reasons may trigger the trend that an increasing number of inhabitants are choosing to access the Web rather than watching TV. Firstly, along with the scientific and technological progress, the new medium—the Internet—has been equipped with more and more functions, which have replaced the functions of the old medium—television—to some extent. Secondly, there are more accesses to the Internet, for example, only if you have a computer, a mobile phone or an i-pad, and are provided with a WiFi or enough data traffic, you can surf the Internet at any moment and anywhere, which otherwise cannot be experienced from televisions. According to the analysis above, a conclusion could be safely drawn that the current situation will continue for a long time.
