The right picture shows that the father and his son are both studying. The caption under the cartoon reads "It is better to set an example than to make demands". Apparently, the author of the cartoon focuses on a fact that many parents always urge children to study hard, but they neglect the impact of their own behaviors upon their children. They tend to count on schools and the society to provide their kids with a good learning environment. However, what they don’t realize is that parents are the first teachers of children. The children can easily imitate the behavior of the par ents, which is definitely unfavorable to the future development of their children. In all, parents should set a good example for their children. They also should play the role of active learners in their families. Only through persistent efforts and proper guidance can children enjoy a bright future.
