答案 China’s Entry into WTO: Change and Challenges As is demonstrated in the diagram, since China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO) , some industries in China have bloomed very quickly as it shows in the diagram that its profit rate increases from 20% to 80%, while others have declined, and even gone bankrupt with profit decreasing from 70% to 10%. So we can see that the WTO entry brings China chances, as well as challenges. Why does China’s entry into WTO bring such complicated two-sided effects? On one hand, China’s accession marks China’s integrating into the world economy. Because of this, China can enjoy a variety of imported products, advanced science and technology, and modem management. And also our own products will have an easy access to the world market. In addition, the WTO entry can also promote reform of our enterprises, and make them more alive and competitive. So undoubtedly, our entry into WTO surely provides lots of opportunities. But as we all know, "every coin has two sides", with the entry, fierce competition from foreign countries will make some less competitive enterprises in China lose their market, which may result in their bankruptcy, and lead to the unemployment of millions of Chinese workers. Besides, the WTO accession also poses a big challenge to our security system. From the above analyses, we can see that China’s entry into WTO provides us chances, as well as challenges, which we should carefully take into consideration and prudently deal with, in order to increase good sides, and eliminate bad ones. We believe a vigorous economy and higher standards of living are not far away.
