Based upon the data of the chart, one can see that the number of Chinese people traveling abroad has been on the rise. In 2010, there were only 52 million people who traveled abroad, while in three years’ time, the number nearly doubled, with a significant increase of 46.19 million. Several possible reasons might account for this trend. On one hand, people have started to pay attention to spiritual life along with the development of national economy. Many modern tourists yearn for an exotic atmosphere and the different culture of other countries, or seek for a new experience. On the other hand, overseas travel nowadays is at a reasonable price owning to the improvement of tourism To sum up, the increasing number of people traveling abroad symbolizes people’ s rising living standard.
