W: Canne, what are you doing here in the lounge so late?
M:(1)My roommate is fast asleep and I still have a lot of work to do. I didn’t want to disturb him so I thought I tried to get it done here.
W: Mid-term exams are over. What are you so hard to work on?
M: I am going over the proposals from each of the clubs on campus for fund raising activities to support the green campus program.
W: Isn’t that the idea to plant trees all over the place and turn parking lots back into open fields?
M: Ya, that’s it. Student organizations are also responsible for raising the money.
W: What’s your part in this grand scheme?
M:(2)As a coordinator, I am the logical choice to be in charge of putting everything together. Somebody asked if I would be willing to do it. Now I wish my work wouldn’t be turned down.
W: What’s the matter? Is it too much for you to handle?
M: I’ve got to admit it’s more work than I expected. I had to contact dozens of athletic teams and special interest clubs to ask for activity proposals.
W: It does sound like you’ve got your hands full.
